Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis Respond to Comments on the Character Letters They Wrote in Support of Convicted Rapist Danny Masterson in Apology Statement: ‘We Support Victims’

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have responded to responses to letters to the judge in the case of convicted rapist Danny Masterson.

“We are aware of the pain caused by the character letters we wrote on behalf of Danny Masterson,” Ashton, 45, began in a short video shared on Instagram.

“We support victims,” Mila added. “We have done this historically through our work and will continue to do so in the future.”

Ashton told viewers: ‘A few months ago Danny’s family contacted us and they asked us to write character letters to represent the person we had known for 25 years so that the judge could take full account of that in relation to the condemnation.’

Masterson was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison earlier this week after a jury found him guilty of raping two women in the early 2000s.
