Ashmore Tavern brawl Gold Coast: Watch the moment two men viciously attack a bouncer outside a pub – only to be utterly embarrassed when he fights back

Two men who attacked a bouncer outside a pub were left with egg on their faces as he easily threw them both to the ground.

Caleb Reynolds, 24, and Joel Walsh, 20, engaged a security guard outside the Ashmore Tavern in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast on New Year's Day 2023.

CCTV captured the pair confronting the doorman who had just told them they were not allowed to leave the venue with their drinking glasses.

In response, the two men tried to fight the guard, but were easily thrown aside and beaten back until they retreated into the darkness.

Shocking footage has emerged of a woman dressed in casual clothes punching a supermarket worker after he tried to check her bag.

The two men were confronted on Tuesday by a Southport magistrate who described their behavior as 'stupid' and compared them both to teenagers.

In the footage, the masked men slowly approached the bouncer before throwing punches at him.

Both men tried to synchronize their attacks in an attempt to overwhelm the guard.

But the doorman stopped them with relative ease for about three minutes.

The worker told the court he had only mild pain after the encounter.

A lawyer from Hannay Lawyers who represented the couple said the attack was “out of character” for his clients, whose charges downgraded to regular attack.

Reynolds was fined $2,000 by the court and Walsh was fined $1,000.

Social media users were quick to mock the two men, with one person even suggesting the bouncer be named 'Australian of the Year'.

“The guard handled it well, didn't even seem to break a sweat,” one man wrote.

“Good job guard, I wish you had another partner to make it fair,” another added.
