Everton have announced the signing of former Aston Villa and Manchester United utility Ashley Young on a one-year contract.
The 38-year-old becomes Sean Dyche’s first at Goodison Park after successfully battling competition for his signature from newly promoted Luton Town.
The England international started 23 games for Villa in the league last season as Unai Emery’s side finished seventh to secure a place in the UEFA Conference League.
His second spell in the Midlands came to an end last month when his contract with Villa Park expired.
Capped 39 times for England, Young is a two-time league winner who won the 2021 Serie A title with Inter Milan, eight years after winning the Premier League with Man United.
