Ashley Graham has claimed that Gua Sha can take the place of Botox.
The 35-year-old model – who was last seen leaving France – shared with Byrdie that she likes to rely on more natural processes.
“I’ve seen so many girls do Gua Sha so wrong and I feel like I have the best teacher in the whole world,” she began. “Her name is Sandra Lanshin and she’s also my acupuncturist.
“If you go on her TikTok or Instagram, she’ll show you exactly how to do it. You don’t need a filler, you just need Gua Sha. I tell her all the time, like you’re my Botox.”
Guasha, or kerokan, is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that uses a tool to scrape people’s skin to produce light petechiae.

Gua means ‘to scrape’ and Sha means ‘petechiae’ (small, flat red, purple spots) in Chinese,” Dr. Ervina Wu, PhD, L.Ac., and the co-founder of YINA, said to Harper’s Bazaar.
Gua Sha started out as a full body treatment – which most people don’t realize since facial techniques have recently become popular.
“The key point is to scrape the skin (usually the upper back) to stimulate blood flow, release heat toxins, stimulate lymphatic drainage, activate different points of the body, and bring beneficial cells to the area by stimulating an immune response.” . Sometimes this action causes some discoloration on the skin, which can look dramatic. But don’t worry, it doesn’t hurt and the petechiae usually disappear within a few days.’
Graham added, “I also love red light infrared sauna blankets.
“I think they are so healing. It’s great to lay in bed, snuggle into a bed and sweat it out. That’s very good for your body.’
The model also spoke to Byrdie about how she finds the time to squeeze through her skincare routine between work and parenthood.

Fame Game: She has to maintain her looks for her modeling career
She reminded fans that she has her hands full with three kids with husband Justin Ervin.
“I’m in a stage of life where a crying baby matters more than when the SPF kicks in,” she says. “It will work out in the end.”
Her skincare routine had to adapt to her work and parenting schedule:
“I’m definitely out of time,” she shared.
‘Everything in the morning has to be done faster and with fewer steps. I used to be the type of person [where] everything has its own little space and is put away. Now, if it’s not there and I can’t see it, it’s off.’
She admits her biggest beauty flaw from high school:
“I’ll admit it firsthand, when I was in high school, I was tanning on the tanning beds. Then I realized: this is very bad for me.
‘I’ll look shriveled up by the time I’m 40. When I started traveling for work, they expected you to be brown.
“I was like, How the hell am I going to tan? I’m pale. I have Irish in my blood.
“People sometimes think I’m a different ethnicity — I’m not. I’m your typical white girl from Nebraska.”
The unexpected skin care product she never skips is basic.
“I’m obsessed with washing my face with Dial Hand Soap ($8).
“I saw a girl with perfect skin on TikTok using it, so I did and I haven’t gone back. It makes everything so clean. Like it literally takes everything out of your skin, it’s insane.’
Mouth taping: Graham revealed that she has started taping her mouth shut before falling asleep at night
Stunning: Ashley put on a sultry show in a sheer sequin sleeveless mini dress over a black lingerie set in Cannes, France
This comes after she revealed that she has started taping her mouth before falling asleep at night.
The mom took to Instagram to share a photo of herself sleeping with two pieces of tape on her lips and pink earplugs.
The model — ranked number one on Maxim’s Hot 100 Sexiest Women in May — wrote the image: “I started to tape my mouth shut when I sleep and I’ve never slept better — and even better when I wake up.” Don’t knock it until you try!!’
Mouth taping is an increasingly popular home treatment for people who have trouble breathing through their nose while sleeping to prevent scratchy throats, bad breath and snoring.
