A glorious waterfront estate reportedly billed as a 'dream home' for retired tennis star Ash Barty has gone under the hammer for a whopping $9.45 million.
Located in Tweed Heads, 19 miles from the Gold Coast, the luxurious country house features five bedrooms, three bathrooms and a tennis court.
Barty, 27, had her eye on the trophy but died before a buyer in Melbourne picked it up last week, according to The Daily Telegraph.
Built just meters from the beach, the complex is the size of three normal blocks and was originally purchased in 2011 for just $3.15 million.
The owners carried out extension renovations on the property, including the construction of a two-storey 'adult haven' adjacent to the main residence.

Other amenities include a guest toilet on the pool terrace and a designer kitchen with marble worktops, a wine cooler and a butler's pantry.

According to PropTrack, the average home price in Kingscliff is $1.8 million. That is a decrease of 10 percent over the past twelve months.

The Queensland native married her boyfriend in 2022 in a private ceremony at an undisclosed location in Queensland.
