Ascom names new ANZ manager

Healthcare IT solutions provider Ascom has promoted Roberto Lozada to the role of country manager for its operations in the Australia and New Zealand region.

Lozada, currently head of Ascom ANZ Sales, brings “a wealth of international experience in sales, marketing and general management, with a strong track record in developing and transforming businesses with a clear focus on delivering results,” the company said in a statement. .

Before joining Ascom, he was general manager of 3M’s healthcare division and was senior business director in Medtronic’s neuroscience group.

Lozada replaces David William, who took on the role of country manager at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

During his tenure, William oversaw some of the pioneering sales of Ascom’s latest products in ANZ, including the Telligence Patient Response System and Ascom Digistat, which was first implemented in a specialist pediatric ICU. There have also been notable implementations of Ascom technology in residential aged care facilities, including AnglicareSA and Baptcare. A complete nurse call replacement by Ascom was also carried out at St Vincent’s Health in Sydney.

William will retire at the end of this year.
