A$AP Rocky looks relaxed as he enjoys a joint while sitting in a Rolls Royce on Rodeo Drive after pleading not guilty to shooting former friend

A$AP Rocky didn’t seem worried as he happily smoked a joint while sitting in the back of a Rolls Royce on the world famous Rodeo Drive after pleading not guilty to shooting his former friend.

The 35-year-old rapper – born Rakim Athelaston Mayers – looked relaxed as he headed to the Maison Goyard flagship in Beverly Hills on Monday after his court appearance.

The father of both of Rihanna’s children was seen in the luxury car, smoking his marijuana cigarettes and apparently FaceTiming with someone.

Rocky looked dapper during the outing as he wore a long black double-breasted coat over a charcoal gray suit.

He also wore a white striped shirt and black leather dress shoes, completing the look with a pair of black Gucci sunglasses.

This comes amid news that he will be found not guilty on Monday of the gun charges he shot Terell Ephron (formally known as A$AP Relli) in Hollywood in November 2021.

The trial is progressing as in November, Supreme Court Justice ML Villar ruled there was enough evidence for a trial at a preliminary hearing after hearing about a day and a half of testimony.

Rocky previously pleaded not guilty to two crimes involving the use of a semi-automatic firearm. His lawyer tried to cast doubt on the case while questioning a police detective.

He faces up to eight years in prison if convicted of two felony counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm.

Villar said “the entirety of the video and testimony” shows there is sufficient evidence for the suspect to go to trial. She emphasized that preliminary hearings have a much lower standard of proof than a trial, and that she only found probable cause.

Rocky, who was sitting in the courtroom, showed no visible reaction.

Prosecutors allege that on November 6, 2021, Mayers pointed a gun at Terell Ephron, once known as A$AP Relli, and then shot Ephron during a confrontation, leaving him with minor injuries.

Los Angeles Police Department Detective Frank Flores took the witness stand Monday and verified videos of the attack presented by the prosecutor, reported Rolling stone.

Flores testified that surveillance footage showed a gun in the rapper’s hand, but when the defense pressed him, he admitted that a gun was never recovered.

At an earlier hearing, Ephron testified that Mayers held the gun to his stomach and said, “I’ll kill you now,” before firing bullets and leaving the room.

Ephron said he and the “F*****g Problems” rapper were teenage friends and members of the collective A$AP, a group of New York high school students who wanted to make music and pursue other art forms.

He said their friendship continued as Mayer’s fame grew, but began to falter when he began to withdraw from business ventures.

Prosecutors played surveillance video showing Mayers brandishing a gun and possibly firing it, which his attorneys denied he did.

The father of Rihanna’s two children was first arrested in April last year as he returned to Los Angeles airport from Barbados, where he had been on holiday with his then-pregnant girlfriend.

He was later released on $550,000 bail. Officers were seen outside his LA home smashing the gate with a battering ram before apparently raiding the property. Detectives seized several boxes of evidence from the home.

Four months after his arrest, the charges were upgraded to misdemeanor status, instead of misdemeanor, which would have meant only one year in prison for each charge.

During this preliminary hearing, a judge will determine if there is enough evidence to move forward with a trial.

The rapper is represented by the same lawyer who represents former President Donald Trump in his criminal case in New York, Joe Tacopina.

In 2019, Trump took a particular interest in Mayers after he was arrested in Sweden for assault.

He was arrested after a fight broke out in the street between his entourage and two men.

Mayers was convicted of assault, given a suspended prison sentence and ordered to pay more than $1,000 in restitution. He reportedly spent a month in jail before his sentence was handed down.

Not seen during the recent outing were his partner and their two sons RZA, 18 months, and Riot Rose, four months.

Rihanna and her partner first met in early 2010, and he was the opening act on her Diamonds World Tour, which took place in 2013.

The rapper announced during an interview that he had started dating Rihanna GQ which was released in May 2021.

Rihanna later revealed that she was pregnant with the couple’s first child in January 2022 and gave birth to RZA last May, although his name was not shared with the public for almost an entire year.

Rihanna revealed she was pregnant for the second time during an iconic performance at the Super Bowl LVII halftime show in February 2023, and gave birth to the couple’s second son in August.
