The two Russian-born boxers were scheduled to face off in June, but their date in Saudi Arabia was canceled after Beterbiev suffered a torn meniscus just a month after the fight.
Bivol finally faced 30-year-old Malik Zinad in the June clash in Saudi Arabia, where he made an impressive defense of his WBA light-heavyweight title with a sixth-round KO.
The WBA light-heavyweight title holder now gets his original fight against Beterbiev next Saturday for the undisputed 12-round clash against the IBF, WBC and WBO belt holder.
