Liverpool midfielder Arthur Melo has been injured for up to four months, according to a report.
The Anfield midfielder came on loan from Juventus late on the summer deadline, but has played just 13 minutes of first team football for Jurgen Klopp’s side despite the Reds’ poor form.
According to the athleticthe Brazilian will now be on the sidelines for an extended period of time after suffering a problem in training on Monday, and will be undergoing surgery this weekend.

Arthur came to Liverpool late in the window after manager Jürgen Klopp accepted that his side needed another midfielder.
But the loan has so far failed, the 26-year-old has yet to start a match and is limited to appearances in the youth team.
He arrived on Merseyside without competitive edge after being eliminated by Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri, and was put on an intensive conditioning programme.

The 26-year-old picked up the problem in training on Monday and missed the win over Rangers
Klopp revealed he missed the Champions League win against Rangers with an issue, but further assessment has reportedly revealed he won’t be playing again until 2023.
Arthur is reportedly determined to force his way into Liverpool’s midfield and earn a place in Brazil’s World Cup squad, but that won’t happen now and he will be out for the duration of the tournament.
Liverpool paid Juventus £4million to loan him for a year, with an option to buy for around £33million next summer.
