Arsenal’s WSL showdown with Aston Villa has been postponed by 45 minutes due to travel issues, just a week after their serious wardrobe malfunction at Chelsea.
Last week their top-flight match against the Blues was postponed by 30 minutes after the Gunners entered the match with the wrong socks.
The showdown at Stamford Bridge was due to start at 7pm but it was announced there would be a short delay due to a kit clash minutes before the scheduled kick-off.
And an even longer delay was announced on Sunday as the north London club encountered difficulties on their way to Birmingham.
The Arsenal Women Titter account tweeted: ‘We can confirm that today’s Barclays Women’s Super League match between Aston Villa and Arsenal will now start at 7.30pm.

‘This decision has been made due to travel disruptions affecting our arrival time.
‘We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to supporters due to the late change in timing.’
Last weekend, Arsenal reportedly brought white socks instead of red, resulting in a clash with Chelsea.

Both teams’ white socks as part of their home kit, but with Chelsea hosting Arsenal had to change colors just minutes before kick-off.
The Gunners eventually settled the dispute by wearing Chelsea’s away socks, but had to mask off the Nike logo. The Gunners have confirmed that they paid for the socks themselves.
Arsenal is sponsored by Nike’s rival Adidas and therefore cannot display the logo of Chelsea’s kit manufacturer.
