Arsenal: Zinchenko opens up on ‘worst ever’ proposal at 4am in just his BOXERS

Arsenal ace Oleksandr Zinchenko proposed to his stunning wife Vlada at 4am wearing only his boxers.

He is ashamed to admit that there was no romance, no special setting, no orchestras playing on a beach at sunset; he says that he was the worst of all.

Speaking exclusively to www.FootballersLives.tv, Gunners star Zinchenko, 26, said: “The way I proposed is the worst proposal ever, it’s impossible, it’s so embarrassing.”

But he shouldn’t have worried because Vlada, who works as a TV journalist and even covers some of Alex’s matches, said yes.

“Of course he did,” Alex insists. “First of all because I’m the Ukrainian Brad Pitt and I’m in my underpants, amazing body too.” But he still shudders when he remembers that night…

“Honestly, I’m going to regret my proposal for the rest of my life -worst of all- it’s incredible,” he adds.

‘What happened (was) that we had a game against Portugal at home, qualifying for the Eurocup. I was going to propose. I knew that Vlada was going to work on that game.

‘I will ask your boss to call me for the interview and I wanted to do it at the interview. This idea is perfect: we won the game 2-1. My ring was in my bag and I wanted to do it.

‘But he knew since he was a child that before proposing to his favorite wife, he must ask his parents’ permission. Not over the phone, but face to face.

‘It was so hard to find some time. I was going to ask the manager if he could take care of some personal business and come back in five hours. I couldn’t do it, I didn’t want to do it beforehand, before I had asked permission.

He put his head in his hands and continued: ‘Instead of this, I did it that night around 4am or 3am in his apartment, just in boxers, almost naked.

‘I would like to give a piece of advice to everyone planning to do the proposal, please don’t do it my way. I went crazy at that moment. I went for a walk for a while, I bought a lot of flowers for her that morning.

‘Why did I do it in the apartment instead of anywhere else? It’s not the most important thing, but it’s important for memory.

The couple’s relationship began after a 5-0 win over Serbia for Ukraine in 2019 when Zinchenko kissed the stunning 27-year-old TV presenter Vlada on air during an interview. He said: ‘I have seen the kiss a thousand times. The way I kiss her, you see my lips, I love her so much.

‘I told him: ‘Vlada I’m going to kiss you’. I told everyone that we were in a relationship.

But a wildly romantic gesture in 2020 made them a soccer golden couple when Alex got down on one knee for a public proposal at the 70,000-seat Olympic Stadium in Kiev, where the couple wore the national jersey and were surrounded by thousands of gorgeous red dresses. and white roses in the shape of a heart.

Alex’s next big romantic moment after the wedding was when Vlada was pregnant with their little daughter Eva. The television presenter gave birth at a Miami hospital in August 2021.

Alex, who was playing for Manchester City at the time of Vlada’s pregnancy, explained: “We had a friendly against Cyprus. I really wanted to score a goal and dedicate it to our future baby.

‘I asked to take the penalty, it was in the overtime of the first half, I scored one hundred percent. One of the best days of my football career, it was a very emotional day. All sides of the story, all directions, in terms of the 4-0 result to Ukraine, after the celebration game. It was in my head to do it.

‘It was the most beautiful time for my country. People deserved the best to make them smile. Make them proud to be Ukrainian, make them smile for a couple of seconds.

Thank you very much to the fans for my support, shouting and things like this. I couldn’t hold back my tears. These kinds of moments you can’t describe what you feel inside, so much emotion.
