Arsenal youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly’s controversial red card against Wolves OVERTURNED as FA release 46-word statement and Mikel Arteta condemns trolls who targeted Michael Oliver
Arsenal has successful Ben in their appeal of the red card of Myles Lewis-Skelly, shown by Michael Oliver in the 1-0 win over Wolves.
The victory of the weekend before the Gunners was enormously overshadowed by a referee decision that attracted widespread criticism and saw Arsenal reduced to 10 men just before the interval.
Lewis -Skelly received his marching orders for an error on the edge of the wolves’ box, which, although cynically in nature, given a counterattack, came about 70 meters from his own net and therefore no goal prevented -score opportunity.
The decision caused a stir, with Mikel Arteta ‘rumbling’ behind the controversial red card, although he quickly noticed his pleasure at the outcome of the professional process, which also entails the prohibition of three games that was handed over to his young left side.
