Arsenal to be ‘offered chance to sign £76m-rated PSG star on loan in January’ as cover for Bukayo Saka, who is set to be out until MARCH with hamstring tear

Arsenal will reportedly be given the opportunity to sign a striker from PSG on loan, who can serve as cover for Bukayo Saka.

He had to be substituted just 24 minutes into the Gunners’ clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday and later left Selhurst Park on crutches.

Mikel Arteta later confirmed Saka would be absent for ‘many weeks’ due to a hamstring injury, as there were concerns within the club that the England star could be out until early March.

The news comes as a major blow to Arsenal’s title hopes as the club has seen captain Martin Odegaard miss several games due to injury earlier in the season.

With Saka set for an extended spell on the sidelines, speculation has focused on whether Arteta will look to strengthen his options when the transfer window opens next month.

According to a report from The standardArsenal are one of several clubs to be given the opportunity to sign PSG striker Randal Kolo Muani on loan for the remainder of the season.

Kolo Muani was seen as a big arrival when PSG paid £64 million plus add-ons to sign him from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023.

However, the France international endured a disappointing first campaign at the Parc des Princes, scoring just nine goals in 40 appearances in all competitions.

This season, Kolo Muani’s stock has fallen even further, with PSG boss Luis Enrique restricting the 26-year-old to just two league starts so far this season.

Asked about Muani’s future at PSG earlier this month, Enrique insisted: “I could talk about it, but I won’t because my decisions say everything, even though, as I said, all my decisions can be changed.”

Muani has three and a half years left on his contract with Les Parisiens, with the deal reportedly worth over £200,000 per week.
