Arsenal have threatened to ban supporters from selling their tickets to Bayern Munich fans for tonight’s Champions League quarter-final first leg at the Emirates Stadium amid fears of violence.

UEFA has banned all Bayern fans from attending the match after fireworks were thrown onto the pitch during away matches in Copenhagen and Lazio this season.

While it won’t be a complete visitor shutout, the German giants have been allocated 180 tickets for a delegation of friends and family, with 20 senior club officials in the executive box. Bayern has called on its fans not to travel to London.

Mail Sport understands that the Met does not consider the match to be high risk but has a plan in place for if Bayern fans arrive near the stadium.

German tabloid Bild reported that many of the traveling team have been unable to bring their families due to the ban.

To avoid disorder, Arsenal did not sell tickets to new members who registered for the voting round after March 11, ahead of the final eight draw.

Season ticket holders can only transfer their tickets via the club’s official ticket transfer service to supporters whose accounts were created before the same date.

Arsenal are determined to avoid a repeat of the unsavory scenes of 2017, when thousands of Cologne supporters bought tickets for a Europa League match in the Emirates.

Violence delayed kick-off by an hour and Cologne fans clashed with stewards, police and home fans.
