Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund target Ivan Fresneda has spoken out about his future amid interest in the Spanish right-back currently starring at Real Valladolid.
The 18-year-old has broken onto the European stage this season, putting in numerous impressive performances with the 14th-placed LaLiga side.
Fresneda made his top Spanish debut last year in a defeat to Girona in September and has made 18 more appearances since then, including games against Atlético and Real Madrid.
His performances have caught the attention of Premier League leader Arsenal along with several other suitors, and now the youngster has revealed in an interview with The athletic that he wants to play for ‘one of the best teams in the world’.
“The fans have been very supportive of me since I made my debut and they have asked me to stay,” explains Fresneda.

“My agent keeps me very much on the sidelines. I don’t like to look at what a journalist has written, but I experienced everything with great emotion.
“I am very grateful to the club and the previous manager and I try to do it as naturally as possible.
“I am very young, I have to go step by step, not backwards. Given my age you have to keep improving and I do that at Valladolid.
“Everyone wants to go to the best teams in the world and that is of course one of my ambitions,” he added.

Fresneda also revealed that he has been learning English and German at university in his spare time since becoming a regular part of his club’s attempt to stay in the division. He also became the youngest player to make 10 appearances in LaLiga this season.
The youngster was the subject of intense transfer speculation in the January period, but ultimately stayed with Valladolid.
However, it is likely he will leave in the summer, with Valladolid reportedly open to scouts to come and see his performances during the current campaign.
Another possible option could be a transfer back to Real Madrid after initially progressing through the club’s youth system before leaving at the age of 13.
