Bukayo Saka was substituted with an injury during Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to Lens in Tuesday night’s Champions League match.
He was taken off the field in the 34th minute of the match, marking the second time in two games he has suffered a blow.
Things didn’t look good for the England winger either, who winced in pain as the physio team entered the pitch to treat him.
He left the field early in Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday but returned to training on Monday in a huge boost for Mikel Arteta’s side ahead of a monumental clash against Manchester City in the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
After the match, Arteta gave an update on the England star, saying: ‘Bukayo felt something after a back heel. Nothing else.’
The Spaniard was unable to provide an update on when Saka would be back, meaning he could be doubtful for City. TV2Sport journalist Arilas Ould-Saada claims Arteta had said ‘it doesn’t look good.’

The 22-year-old had provided the assist to set up Gabriel Jesus, who had also returned to training on Monday, for Arsenal’s opening match against the Ligue 1 side.
Lens pulled another back through Adrien Thomasson, before Elye Wahi put the ball home past David Raya to see the hosts claim a 2-1.
But once again, his fitness is in doubt, with Martin Keown praising the 22-year-old during the match on TNT Sports. He said: ‘He’s an amazing talent, there’s no doubt about that.
‘He invites players to get in touch. I’m worried about this though…is it his hamstring?
After picking up an injury at the weekend, Saka returned to training, providing a huge boost to Arteta’s side
‘And with Man City coming up this weekend, they got him out of there and crossed him as quickly as possible.
“But you know, it’s the workload in games. Last year and the following seasons we had the World Cup to prepare for this time.
“He’s such a young man so they have to protect him and that’s a big loss if he’s not available this weekend.”
Saka has been crucial for the Gunners this season, scoring four goals and three assists in his last eight appearances in all competitions.
