Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has issued a rallying cry to his teammates following his side’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle on Saturday.

The Gunners struggled at St James’ Park, with Alexander Isak’s goal in the 12th minute proving to be the difference between the two sides.

Arsenal’s defeat raised serious questions about their title credentials, with Mikel Arteta’s side now seven points behind leaders Liverpool.

However, the England international appears convinced that Arsenal have what it takes to turn things around.

The 23-year-old, who captained Arsenal on Saturday, sent a message to his teammates on Instagram.

On Saturday evening, Saka wrote on his Instagram story: ‘We stick together!’.

After losing to Bournemouth last month, Arsenal drew 2-2 at home to Liverpool before being beaten by Newcastle.

Despite the difficulties Arsenal have endured this season, Saka has often made an important contribution.

The 23-year-old star has scored three goals and provided seven assists in nine Premier League games.

Arsenal are back in action on Wednesday evening when they take on Inter Milan in the Champions League.

Their next Premier League match is away against Chelsea on November 10.

Arteta admitted Arsenal ‘deserved to lose’ against Newcastle.

The Arsenal boss said: ‘We deserved to lose today. I thought we started very well and were very dominant. We did not defend the box well enough, my compliments for that. They scored a beautiful goal with a good ball.

‘Then the game changes and you start playing a different game. You have to adapt and we haven’t done that well enough. I’m very frustrated.

“We got dragged into a game where they were constantly looking and we couldn’t play the game we wanted.

‘We had two big chances: Mikel (Merino) had a big one, Declan (Rice) had a big one. We lacked answers.’
