Arsenal paid Gunners fan Daniel Anjorin during their Premier League match with Bournemouth on Saturday after the 14-year-old was killed in a sword attack in east London.

Anjorin, a boyhood Arsenal fan, was murdered on Tuesday in a street in an east London suburb of Hainaut while on his way to school. Four other people were injured in the incident.

In less than two days, 5,000 people donated to a fundraiser for the family and Arsenal decided to pay tribute to the youngster during their Premier League match at Bournemouth.

The Gunners held a minute’s applause after 14 minutes of play at the Emirates Stadium, with Bournemouth and their fans also taking part.

Mikel Arteta’s side also shared a photo of Anjorin on the main screen in the stadium ahead of the match.

Mail Sport revealed earlier this week that the club had been in close contact with the family liaison to offer their support.

Social media platforms such as X (formerly known as Twitter) have been flooded with tributes to Anjorin.

Marcus Arduini Monzo, 36, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday charged with Daniel’s murder, along with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of grievous bodily harm, aggravated burglary and possession of a bladed article.

Four others were injured during Tuesday’s 22-minute rampage, including a heroic female police officer who almost lost a hand.
