Arsenal are said to have made a bid for Wolves goalkeeper Dan Bentley.

As Mail Sport reported earlier this month, the Gunners are interested in the 31-year-old, who came through their youth academy.

Mikel Arteta is looking to strengthen his goalkeeping team after securing the permanent arrival of David Raya from Brentford.

According to The sunArsenal have made a £300,000 bid for Bentley and are hoping to complete a deal.

Wolves, however, want £1million, but the two clubs are close to a compromise.

Arsenal have reportedly made a £300,000 bid for Wolves goalkeeper Daniel Bentley

The 31-year-old has made just nine appearances for Wolves since joining the club in 2023

Wolves played as second choice behind Jose Sa last season and made just three Premier League appearances.

He kept three clean sheets in seven games in all competitions for Wolves and played 67 minutes against Arsenal in December 2023.

Bentley rose through the ranks at Arsenal but left at the age of 15 to join Southend United in 2008.

The goalkeeper has since played for Brentford and Bristol City before leaving Wolves 18 months ago.

Bentley would bring experience to Arsenal, but is unlikely to get much playing time as Raya and Aaron Ramsdale are above him in the pecking order.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have completed the arrival of 18-year-old goalkeeper Tommy Setford from Ajax for just under £1million.
