Arsenal have offered Reiss Nelson a new contract, but doubts remain over the winger’s long-term future.
Mail Sport revealed last month that the club had opened talks with the striker, whose current term expires at the end of the season, over a new deal and the Gunners have now made an offer to Nelson.
The 23-year-old’s preference remains at the Emirates Stadium, despite his supporting role under Mikel Arteta.
However, no agreement has been reached, leaving his future uncertain. It is clear that the Gunners have offered Nelson a raise on his current deal, which is believed to be worth around £35,000 a week.
Lines of communication between Arsenal and Nelson over an extension remain open, but it remains to be seen if an agreement can be found.

Aston Villa, Fulham, West Ham and Brighton are among the teams interested in signing Nelson on a free transfer next season.
There is also interest from Europe, with AC Milan also keeping an eye on its situation.
However, the striker is based in London and it remains to be seen whether Nelson would consider a move abroad at this stage of his career.
