Arsenal fans were left in an uproar after being fooled by rumors that West Ham had scored an equalizer against Man City on Sunday afternoon.
Gunners supporters were well aware that a draw between City and the Hammers would put them in the driver’s seat to lift the Premier League title on the final day.
That looked extremely unlikely after Phil Foden scored a quick goal in the first half, but a sensational strike from Mohammed Kudus saw the visitors get one back.
Despite West Ham still trailing, we saw Arsenal fans wildly cheering their side on, holding up a ‘2-2’ scoreline with their fingers up as the rumors spread.
In a clip that appeared on TNT Sportsone supporter was particularly enthusiastic as she cheered on the Gunners – who were drawing 1-1 with Everton at the time.

In reality, however, West Ham were still 2–1 down and remained so until half-time. Shortly after halftime, City extended their lead after a goal by Rodri.
Heading into the final day of the season it was all to play for as Manchester City led by one point in the race for the Premier League title.
Arsenal were hopeful that if they beat Everton and City could not beat West Ham, they would claim their first top-flight title in 20 years.
However, their dreams were dampened after Foden’s sensational goal put Man City 1-0 ahead against West Ham.
The attacking midfielder scored a stunning goal to put Pep Guardiola’s side on course to a fourth consecutive Premier League title.
Foden quickly made it two when he swept home Jeremy Doku’s cross and lifted the roof of The Etihad.
However, Kudus pulled a goal back for West Ham on the stroke of half-time to give Gunners fans hope and boost the atmosphere in the Emirates.
