Arsenal have made the signing of Wolves winger Pedro Neto a transfer priority this month, according to reports.
The Gunners are keen on bringing the 22-year-old to the Emirates but must offload club-record signing Nicolas Pepe in order to facilitate the move.
Mikel Arteta’s side are in negotiations with Ligue 1 side Nice over a potential loan deal for Pepe, which would give the green light for the Neto deal.

Mikel Arteta’s side have identified the 22-year-old as a top target after talks with Jorge Mendes
Arsenal have been in month-long discussions with agent Jorge Mendes over the Portugal international, per The Athletic.
Mendes is the representative of Neto and is also held in high-regard by the Wolves hierarchy, although talks with the two clubs are said to have been separate.
The Wanderers have no intention of selling the 22-year-old this summer, while the winger also signed a contract extension at Molineux in March – tying him down until 2027.
The forward has started all three of Bruno Lage’s side’s opening Premier League games, with the Wanderers remaining winless.

Gunners are top of the Premier League table after three successive victories at start of season
The 22-year-old has been a key figure since his arrival from Braga in 2019 and has made 95 appearances for Wolves – boasting 23 goal contributions.
However, potential suitors for Neto have grown hope after the Wanderers signed attackers Goncalo Guedes and Matheus Nunes this summer.
Wolves’ asking price for the winger remains unclear, however the Gunners may be limited with their finances due to the arrivals of Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandar Zinchenko and Fabio Vieira.
Arteta’s side have enjoyed a perfect start to the Premier League campaign and sit top of the table following three successive victories.
