Gabriel Martinelli has signed a new deal with Arsenal in a big boost for the Premier League leaders.
The Brazilian has agreed a new four-and-a-half-year contract to keep him at the Emirates until the summer of 2027.
The winger’s previous contract was set to expire at the end of the next season, although the club had the option to extend it for a further two years.
Martinelli has been an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s team chasing the title this season.
And he is one of several young stars whose future the club wants to secure.

Central defender William Saliba and winger Bukayo Saka are also in talks over new and improved contracts.
Martinelli has scored seven goals in 19 Premier League appearances this season and has 25 in 111 appearances in all competitions since joining from Brazil’s Ituano in July 2019.
Martinelli has been a key part of the Arsenal squad this season as they lead the Premier League.
