The match between Arsenal and Liverpool on December 23 broke the record for most watched Premier League matches in the United States.

On Wednesday, it was reported that the 1-1 draw between the two powerhouses amassed 2.28 million viewers across television and streaming platforms.

NBC's broadcast reportedly had 1.96 million viewers, while Peacock contributed 464,000. Telemundo made up the rest of the total loot.

Arsenal have now broken a record they previously held with a 3-2 win over Manchester United in January.

The previous record holder came in at 1.92 million from NBC and Peacock, while Telemundo drew 382,000 viewers.

Arsenal and Liverpool's 1-1 draw became the most watched Premier League match in the US

The two clubs will meet again in the FA Cup on January 7 and in the Premier League on February 4

The 1-1 stalemate led to an early goal from Arsenal's Gabriel Magalhaes in the fourth minute. However, the Gunners' lead would be erased in the 29th by Liverpool's Mohamed Salah.

Both sides kept each other on the same page for 90 minutes, making the match a must-see despite there being no winner.

They took thirteen shots each, with Liverpool putting three on the frame and Arsenal two themselves. They almost split possession, with Liverpool managing just 51 percent. Liverpool also made 442 passes with an accuracy of 80 percent, while Arsenal made 423 with a success rate of 79 percent.

Even the number of fouls, corners and offsides was almost identical, with the only lopsided statistic being Arsenal's five yellow cards against Liverpool's two.

Liverpool are currently top of the Premier League with 42 points. Meanwhile, Arsenal are behind them on 40. Both teams have also won their last two games.

The two clubs will have time to wrap up their unfinished business with two matches in early 2024. They meet on January 7 for the FA Cup third round and again on February 4 for a Premier League rematch.
