Arsenal stretched their lead at the top of the table to eight points after beating Crystal Palace 4-1 at the Emirates on Sunday.
The visitors almost took a surprising lead when Wilfried Zaha saw his effort come back from the post early on, but Arsenal began to get going as the first half wore on and opened up a commanding lead thanks to goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.
Granit Xhaka made three shortly after half time, but Palace briefly threatened a comeback when Jeffrey Schlupp pulled one back and then Zaha came close again. However, Saka ended the game with a cool finish from Kieran Tierney’s cutback to keep Arsenal’s title fight firmly on track.
