Hollywood action legends Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone posed for a seasonal photo they posted to their Instagram pages on Tuesday as they carved pumpkins together.
Stallone, 76, captioned the photo: ‘Myself and my amazing friend Arnold @schwarzenegger spend time in his amazing office carving pumpkin heads for Halloween with survival knives!!!. That’s what real ACTION guys do with their free time! LOL…’
The Terminator star, 75, posted the image with the message “Happy Halloween.”
In the image, the ex-California governor was wearing a navy blue T-shirt with khaki pants with a large watch, with a light layer of facial hair on the fall day.
Stallone, who plays Dwight “The General” Manfredi in the new crime drama Tulsa King, wore a denim blue shirt and a goatee.
They posed in front of a display of trophies in Schwarzenegger’s office, as well as a portrait of the star during his bodybuilding days.
Both heroes on the silver screen mistook camping knives for pumpkins they’d carved, with some commentators noting that the Rocky icon didn’t carve the pre-drawn lives on the pumpkin.
A number of fans took to social media in response to the seasonal post
The stars were seen together in western attire in a post Stallone drafted earlier this month to praise Schwarzenegger for his work with the organization After-School All-Stars.
“Sly said f*** those rules,” one commenter wrote, while another said, “Didn’t even follow the rules.”
One commenter called the collaboration “the buddy comedy we need,” while another said, “Rambo and Terminator Together…that’s going to be a kick-a** Halloween!”
One fan called the photo “Two legends in one frame!”
The stars were seen together in western attire in a post Stallone drafted earlier this month to praise Schwarzenegger for his work with the organization After-School All-Stars (ASAS).
He said: ‘Congratulations to my great friend @schwarzenegger who had an incredibly successful charity event helping the kids THE AFTER SCHOOL ALLSTARS… Still looking as strong as a bull!’
Tinseltown’s veterans have previously shared the screen in films such as The Expendables, The Expendables 2, The Expendables 3 and Escape Plan.
