Arnold Schwarzenegger schools critics who accuse him of taking private jet to annual Climate meeting

“This is a commercial flight!” Arnold Schwarzenegger rebukes critics who accuse him of taking a private jet to his climate change conference

Arnold Schwarzenegger defended his stance on climate change and had a chance to school some of his opponents on social media.

It started on Sunday when the 75-year-old actor and activist whose life is explored in the new Netflix documentary Arnold, posted a photo of himself boarding a flight to Vienna for his annual Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative summit.

“On the way to @ArnoldSCI for this year’s summit in Vienna,” he wrote on social media alongside the photo as he looked comfortable in what appeared to be a premium seat.

Climate change deniers were quick to respond to the post.

“There is no climate emergency and all private jets prove they know it all,” one of them responded on Twitter.

The strong man replied politely.

“This is a commercial flight – I really hope you’re not making things up all the time to get mad about. I don’t want you to be so miserable.’

Another detractor made a similar comment, asking, “How much are you getting paid to promote the hoax?”

This time, the Terminator star used reason in his answer.

“Please don’t make things up to get angry about,” he said, “just be logical.”

He then asked a number of questions himself.

“If someone is bribing people to change the way they talk about pollution, who has more money than oil companies? Are you acting anti-establishment while on the orders of a bunch of wealthy fossil fuel executives?”

The action star kept his cool when he was called a hypocrite for allegedly traveling in a private jet.

“So that private jet of yours… that runs on solar energy, huh? It’s the hypocrisy that pisses people off. Do you understand?’

‘Again. This is a Lufthansa commercial flight,” the Kindergarten Cop star replied.

Then he gave some advice.

“Before you spend all day on Twitter looking for fake reasons to be angry, take a few minutes to look in the mirror and figure out the real reason you’re upset. Working on it. Do the reps. Be awkward. One day you’ll thank me.’
