Arnold Schwarzenegger hands out turkeys in Los Angeles ahead of Thanksgiving

Arnold Schwarzenegger gave back to his community this week when he handed out turkeys in Los Angeles.

The 77-year-old former California governor — who endorsed Kamala Harris last month — was in good spirits as he appeared at the Hollenbeck Youth Center and greeted families.

Speaking to Fox 11 at the event, the Terminator actor said about service, “Giving back to me is everything.”

According to the outlet, Schwarzenegger has been keeping the tradition going for more than 30 years.

He was joined by 65-year-old actor and comedian Tom Arnold at the youth center, and the two posed for snapshots together.

Arnold said of the spirit of volunteerism, “It’s something that will stay with you forever.”

He looked handsome with a full white beard and his dark hair combed slickly back.

Wearing a casual all-black look ahead of the holiday, the longtime Hollywood actor showed off his patriotism in a black bomber jacket with an American flag patch on one sleeve and a California flag on the other.

Two weeks earlier, he was similarly patriotic when he marked Veterans Day with a sentimental post on social media.

Speaking to his nearly 30 million Instagram followers, he wrote in a caption: “Today I want to thank all our veterans.

‘You are making this country the greatest country in the world. You’re putting yourself in danger for all of us. You have served us, and now you deserve our service.”

The note was accompanied by a carousel of images showing the star serving pizza to veterans.

‘I would also like to ask all my followers and fans to do more than enjoy the holidays or post a picture of a flag. It is our turn to serve these heroes,” he urged.

“My tradition is taking pizza to the vets at the Veterans Affairs center in LA and staying with them to make sure they know how grateful I am. You can make your own tradition: thank a veteran, buy them dinner, or simply write to your politicians and demand that we take better care of our heroes,” he added.

Schwarzenegger was previously married to journalist and Kennedy family member Maria Shriver.

Schwarzenegger first met Maria, the niece of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, during a tennis match in August 1977.

The two became engaged after Arnold popped the question in his home country of Austria in 1985.

The former couple married in 1986 in a ceremony at the Kennedy family home in Massachusetts.

In their 25-year marriage, the couple welcomed daughters Katherine and Christina, as well as sons Patrick and Christopher.

Arnold fathered a son, Joseph, by his mistress – who was born just days before Christopher, leading to his divorce from Mary.
