Arne Slot urged Liverpool fans not to take three points for granted at bottom club Wolves on Saturday, saying the Premier League’s financial dominance means every opponent is a threat.

Liverpool have a 100 per cent win record against teams in the bottom half this season – Ipswich, Brentford, Manchester United and Bournemouth – but the former Feyenoord manager is not taking the trip to Molineux lightly.

‘Every Premier League match demands a lot. That’s why you see more rotation here than in any other league,” he said.

‘Every team we face has players who cost between 40 and 50 million euros and have quality, so there are no easy matches.

‘Wolves have already had bad luck at Arsenal, Newcastle, Chelsea and Aston Villa. The best way to judge the table is after 19 games.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has issued a warning to fans who think a win over Wolves is guaranteed

Gary O’Neil’s side are bottom of the Premier League and have not won a game yet this season

Liverpool have yet to taste defeat against a team from the bottom half of the Premier League

‘In my last match in the Eredivisie we played against a promoted club and they didn’t come close to our goal. A duel with their defenders is not the same as a duel with Virgil van Dijk.

‘Any Premier League team can buy players. You can never feel like the game is yours. Wolves play much better football than the table shows.’

Slot is pleased Liverpool’s title prospects remain under the radar despite their stellar start after Jurgen Klopp.

The Merseysiders are second, a point behind Manchester City, but beyond the discussion everything revolves around a head-to-head showdown between Pep Guardiola’s men and Arsenal.

And Slot is not sensitive to his side being overlooked.

Slot is ashamed of his riches with super sixes Mo Salah, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Federico Chiesa and Darwin Nunez battling for three places, but the Dutchman says wins in their opening matches in the Champions League and Carabao Cup have helped him with juggling.

“The positive thing about having so many games is that they will all play a lot,” Slot added.

‘They understand that they won’t play every match, but they have to stay sharp. As long as they accept the situation, and that’s what they do, it’s positive.

Slot has a wealth of wealth to choose from for his attacking trio against Wolves

Summer signing Federico Chiesa is the only Liverpool striker who has not scored this season

Slot believes the wealth of attacking options is crucial as they all get the chance to shine

‘They have good grades and I see them smile a lot. I have to keep them happy in what they do.

‘I am very happy with the team I inherited from Jürgen Klopp, not only with the quality, but perhaps even more importantly with the culture.

All bar Chiesa, who made his first start in the 5-1 midweek cup win against West Ham, were already on target and Diaz in particular has started well with five goals from his six appearances.

Goalkeeper Alisson has resumed training after a hamstring injury and could return.
