Armie Hammer’s ex Elizabeth Chambers reveals how she has put the ‘trauma’ of his shock cannibalism and rape scandal ‘behind her’ – as her close pal praises mom-of-two for ‘healing’ her relationship with the actor for the sake of their kids

Armie Hammer’s ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers has been praised for the way she can ‘coexist’ with her ex-husband, with her business partner claiming the TV presenter has gone through a ‘healing process’.

Elizabeth, 41, will reveal how she turned the island into a safe place for her family in the new reality series Grand Cayman: Secrets of Paradise – years after the world was shocked by the numerous rape and cannibalism allegations against Call Me By Your Name actor Armie, 37, in 2021.

The TV presenter and actor were married from May 2010 until their divorce in July 2020, with the couple agreeing to share custody of their nine-year-old daughter Harper and seven-year-old son Ford.

Now, her business partner and co-star Frank Schilling has shed light on how the mother of two has managed to maintain an amicable relationship with her ex for the sake of her children.

Recalling a recent interaction he witnessed between the former couple, Frank said, “I was playing with my son in the schoolyard and I saw Armie and Elizabeth together.

‘I almost thought it was a boyfriend or something. Then I realized, “Oh, no, that’s Armie.” They were together, but without holding hands or swearing.’

He continued: ‘It was clear that they have come to an agreement that they can coexist in the same area.’

The businessman, who also owns Aphrodise Sparkling Rosé, mused that island living has made possible the warm-hearted interactions between the couple, as he continued: ‘The funny thing about the Cayman Islands is that you have to experience the whole catharsis and the whole healing process run through. about the end of a relationship.

“I think that’s harder in a big city because you have the expectations of your friends and colleagues… Heaven forbid, you’ll be seen doing that and then judged.”

He added: ‘Here you can go through that process in peace. It has all the criteria to make all that healing and recovery possible. It’s a great place to raise kids and raise a family.”

The businessman continued: ‘The way they behave here, I have always seen them as a family. Not as a movie star and TV presenter. Elizabeth just seemed like a typical soccer mom.”

In trailers for the reality series, Elizabeth talks about how her life completely changed after her decision to move to the island with her then husband.

Elizabeth then continues, “Much of the trauma I experienced over the past two years is behind me…I went through a very public divorce that was full of scandal.”

He has repeatedly denied the allegations, but the fallout from the scandal has virtually wiped out Armie’s Hollywood career.

Frank was quick to praise Elizabeth for pushing through the scandal and focusing on protecting her children and growing her successful business, Bird Bakery.

The series features Elizabeth’s work to open a fourth location in the Cayman Islands, after partnering with Frank’s restaurant, Mykonos Steak Club.

“It was amazing and serendipitous that she came in.” We just wanted to make it something fun for her and something fun for us.”

The businessman, whose Malibu property is for sale through Concierge Auctions, admitted he only knew Elizabeth and Armie “socially” before they split, and developed a better friendship with the TV host during the pandemic.

Frank had nothing but praise for his business partner’s dedication to her work and her children, continuing, “She’s a good woman and she had a very, very good mother.”

“The best way I can say it is she’s a super alpha female. She also just has a lot of physical energy and is a force of nature.”

He added: ‘At the end of the day, she is the mother of the child and she does a lot to help it all move forward financially.’

Armie, a scion of the ultra-wealthy family behind baking soda products Occidental Petroleum and Arm & Hammer, has been under investigation for sexual assault since February 2021 after his ex-girlfriend, Effie Angelova, 26, accused him of “forcible” rape. and abused her in 2017.

Hammer also dropped a role in Jennifer Lopez’s film Shotgun Wedding, but maintained his innocence.

The actor then claimed he tried to commit suicide in the Cayman Islands, where he got a job selling timeshares after the backlash.

“I stand with every victim of assault or abuse and urge anyone who has experienced this pain to seek the help she or he needs to heal. I will have no further comment on this matter at this time.”
