Armed police stormed an easyJet plane after passengers received a terrifying AirDrop message that read ‘I have a bomb’.

Vacationers with Apple devices on board the flight from Stansted Airport to Amsterdam received the message when the plane was about to take off.

The terrifying memo led armed police to storm the Airbus A319 and shut down the runaway.

Emergency services, including ambulances and police, were busy on the runway.

Witnesses said a man was knocked to the ground by police before being led away in handcuffs.

Three people were arrested at the scene for using the Bluetooth function to send the threatening message on Wednesday evening.

His traveling companions were also detained by officers, while panicked passengers were given nearby hotels overnight.

It would be the first known terror incident of its kind.

A source told The sun: ‘There was hysteria on board.

“People were understandably panicked. This was like something out of a Hollywood blockbuster.

“Such a terror incident, with a sinister message sent to multiple parties on AirDrop, has never been known before.”

Flights continued to circle above the runway while the aircraft was transported to a safe location.

One of the messages sent showed a man with a mustache and glasses with ‘I have a bomb’ on his face, The Sun said.

EasyJet said the flight was postponed overnight “as a precaution” to allow for “additional security checks”.

AirDrop allows Apple users to send files and photos among themselves. Files can be transferred to strangers if they are within sufficient range.
