Arkansas man who had a sexual relationship with his ‘soulmate’ 1998 Chevy Monte Carlo named Chase is devastated after the car is written off during a routine checkup

An Arkansas man who raised his eyebrows after revealing he had an intimate relationship with his car is devastated after his “soulmate” was written off.

The frisky motorist, who goes by Nathaniel alone, told how his relationship with his beloved 1998 Chevy Monte Carlo, named Chase, fell apart after it was destroyed during a routine check four years ago.

His unorthodox affair made headlines more than a decade ago after it was featured on an episode of the TLC’s “My Strange Addiction,” where he shamelessly expressed his love for the classic bike by getting intimate with his machines.

But while the gearhead admitted to even having sex with his car, he said in an update shared by TLC’s Instagram last month that their love had run out of fuel.

Although he has tried to move on with several new cars, Nathaniel admitted that he cannot replace Chase and feels his latest fling is a “friends with benefits” situation.

Nathaniel burst into tears as he gave an update on his life, saying, “I think people will be surprised to hear that Chase is no longer a part of my life.”

“When you last saw me ten years ago, I was in an intimate relationship with my car Chase,” he said.

In the original show’s archive footage, Nathaniel proudly hugged the 1998 Chevy on the bumper and steering wheel as he told the car how much he loved “him.”

After meeting Chase at a resale lot, he said it was “love at first sight” as he was drawn to the car because the parts “just seemed to fit and I felt a connection.”

However, Nathaniel cried ominously as he thought about what he would do if he ever lost his lover, saying his “heart would just stop.”

The much-loved bike was involved in a serious accident four years ago after going for maintenance, with an image of the tragedy showing a metal structure collapsed on top of the car.

“I still think about it a lot and it breaks my heart that he’s not here,” he said in his update. “I felt he deserved better.”

As a way of coping with the heartbreaking loss, Nathaniel seems to have turned his room into a sanctuary for his former partner. Chase’s bumper has become the headboard of his bed, and nostalgic photos of them together can be found all over the room.

“The bedroom is just a special place and I felt like that was the perfect place for him, and to have him close to me,” he added.

Among the “cute” images he selected for his walls and bedding included the couple embracing in a field and the car “taking a bath.”

“You look back and realize the things you take for granted, until it’s too late,” Nathaniel said in tears.

While he said he “still thinks about Chase,” he said he’s moved on to several other cars. He said he was looking for new lovers when he came across his ‘baby girl’ Lex – a Lexus ES330.

He went through a fleet of cars in his collection, admitting that Lex’snot the only love I have in my life, I have the new family.’

Also among his “family” is a new luxury sedan called Jordan. ‘He is very luxurious, very gentlemanly. I have affection for Jordan all the time, I love him all the time, I give him kisses,” he said.

“I show affection for Jordan in many ways, we’ve been intimate,” he added.

He continued with his “masculine” partner Jet, a big black SUV that he said has a “cute butt” because he likes his rear taillights.

The Arkansas man said the SUV works in tandem with his jet ski Adam, which allows him to “wrap my legs around him and it feels like I’m hugging him…I spent more time with him on the lake, but it’s been a while .’

Despite his ever-expanding “family,” Nathaniel said he has enough love to drive around and none of his cars are ever “jealous” of each other.
