Arkansas GOP senator Dan Sullivan says he is ‘110 percent’ comfortable with Trump’s mental fitness and says it is ‘not a close call’ with Biden

An Arkansas senator has defended Donald Trump’s mental abilities amid a series of blunders from the presidential hopeful, insisting he is “110 percent” comfortable with the former president’s abilities.

On CBS Sunday, Dan Sullivan jumped to Trump’s defense after he was presented with a video clip in which Trump appeared to confuse Biden with Barack Obama and falsely suggested the US has troops on the ground in Ukraine.

Sullivan stated that there is “no comparison” to Trump rival Joe Biden, who himself has been criticized for his cognitive function.

“Are you confident in his mental condition?” CBS’s Margaret Brenann asked Sullivan after playing the footage taken at a rally in Virginia.

‘Compared to the current president? One hundred and ten percent,” the Republican senator responded.

The Arkansas senator said he is ‘110%’ comfortable with Trump’s mental acuity, compared to Biden’s

“And as your polling shows, I think the American people have real concerns about President Biden’s situation when it comes to his fitness for office, and especially his mental acuity.

“And compared to President Biden — or to former President Trump — I don’t even think it’s a close call when you see the two in action.”

The poll cited by Sullivan found that only 32 percent of voters believe Biden has the necessary mental and cognitive skills to be president.

The same poll found that 51 percent of voters also do not believe Trump has the necessary mental capacity to do his job.

But Sullivan, who has supported the 77-year-old Trump, hit back when Brennan asked him to confirm there are no US troops in Ukraine.

“I would go back to who shows more mental fitness to be president, and I don’t even think it’s a close call between President Trump and President Biden at this point,” he said.

Trump made Obama’s blunder during the meeting on Saturday evening.

‘Putin has so little respect for Obama that he starts throwing around the nuclear word. You heard that. Nuclear. He starts talking about nuclear weapons today,” he said.

Sullivan pointed to polls showing that only 32 percent of voters believe Biden has the cognitive skills to be president, while most voters do not think Trump has the necessary capabilities.

Trump’s recent blunder is not the first time the Republican front-runner has confused Obama and Biden during the campaign.

However, in January he claimed this was a deliberate tactic to demonstrate his belief: “Obama is the boss.”

Other blunders include confusing Republican rival Nikki Haley with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Biden, 81, has also made his fair share of mistakes in recent months.

Two weeks ago, he appeared to confuse his facts again when he confused a congressional funding bill for Ukraine with that of NATO.

Speaking to reporters as he left his motorcade, Biden mixed up his facts as he called for “Congress to come home and pass the legislation that funds NATO.”

The $95 billion aid package the president talked about would send $61 billion to Ukraine, which is not part of NATO.

It was the latest blunder by the president, who recently mixed up the names of world leaders including former French President Francois Mitterrand, who died in 1996, with his current president, Emmanuel Macron.

The Justice Department even found in its report on Biden’s handling of classified documents that he has “impaired faculties and a defective memory.”

The investigation revealed that he left Afghan files next to a dog bed in his garage, forgot when his son Beau died and could not remember when he was vice president.

Biden angrily refuted claims in special counsel Robert Hur’s report, which suggested his memory was flawed.

He directed all his anger at the reporters in front of him and expressed his anger at the idea, reported by Hur, that he could not remember the date of the death of his beloved son Beau.

It was a powerful and impressive performance until it wasn’t anymore.

After apparently completing the question-and-answer portion of the apparition, he walked to the door before being tempted to return to answer another question about Israel.

All the headlines focused on what came next, the moment he referred to “the President of Mexico El-Sisi.” Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is de facto the president of Egypt.
