Arizona mom, 30, is charged with murder for ‘running over girl she accused of bullying daughter, 10, with her truck after grabbing another ‘tormentor’s’ hair with her own children were inside vehicle’

An Arizona mother has been charged with attempted murder after she allegedly drove into children in a park and ran over a girl she accused of bullying her daughter at school.

Brandie Gotch, 30, reportedly drove her white Chevy Silverado, with her four children inside, toward 15 children standing in the playground at WestGreen Park in Peoria after an altercation on Tuesday.

According to court documents, she ran over a girl’s ankle before turning back into the parking lot and fleeing the scene on 87th Avenue.

Before the disturbing attack, she also pulled a 14-year-old boy’s hair while shouting, “I’m going to kill you and run you over,” while wielding a sharp stick she retrieved from her truck, as reported by Family AZ.

The mother of four was taken into custody at her home later that day and booked into jail for attempted first-degree murder.

Brandie Gotch, 30, has been charged with attempted murder after she recklessly drove toward children in a park and struck a girl she accused of bullying her daughter at school.

She reportedly drove her white Chevy Silverado, with her four children inside, toward 15 children standing in the playground at WestGreen Park (pictured) in Peoria, Arizona, after an altercation on Tuesday.

Other charges stemming from the disturbing incident include six counts of menacing, four counts of aggravated assault and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Her bail was set at $250,000.

During an interview with detectives, Gotch said her children were bullied at school by the group of youths, but nothing was done after she reported it to the school and law enforcement.

The bullying continued at the neighborhood park, Gotch alleged, when she saw the group throw wood chips at three of her children, and one of them hit her 10-year-old daughter.

She said the group called her a “fat b***h” when she confronted them. A video shows her grabbing a 14-year-old boy by the hair and chasing him with a sharp stick.

She admitted to removing a stick from the vehicle, but claimed she never threatened them.

Gotch reportedly told police that a second boy followed her to her truck and began “dancing” behind him.

She yelled at the boy to move, and the confrontation escalated as she returned to her truck.

“Brandie was then seen returning to her vehicle, which was now occupied by her four children, and aggressively backing her vehicle towards the exit,” the probable cause statement reads.

‘But instead of getting out, she drove forward at high speed towards the playground where at least fifteen young people were standing.’

She allegedly ran over a girl’s ankle, causing injuries including cuts and swelling, before driving away at high speed.

Before the disturbing attack, she also pulled a 14-year-old boy’s hair while shouting, “I’m going to kill you and run you over,” while wielding a sharp stick she retrieved from her truck.

According to court documents, Gotch initially did not believe she had run over the girl, but later told police, “I hope I didn’t do that.”

Gotch’s children told investigators that “they were unrestrained and bouncing all over the vehicle,” even though the mother believed they were wearing seat belts.

Part of the incident was captured on a cell phone camera and police were able to track her to her home and arrest her.

“This is still an active investigation with numerous interviews and witness statements still being processed,” Officer Zach Lekan of the Peoria Police Department said. KTAR News 92.3 FM Thursday.

None of the minors involved in the incident have been identified.
