Ariana Madix said she feels like ‘Superwoman’ after surviving the highly publicized breakup of her nine-year relationship with ex Tom Sandoval.

The reality star, 38, who recently unveiled her new shoe collection, opened up about her current situation at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Book Sunday, where she was promoting her new book, Single AF Cocktails: Drinks for Bad B*tches.

The title is a spin-off of the 2019 book she co-wrote with her ex, Fancy AF Cocktails: Drink Recipes from a Couple of Professional Drinkers.

The author showed off her toned stomach in a brick red, navy blue and white tie-dye outfit that featured a crew-neck crop top, matching ankle-length skirt and strappy high heel sandals in a neutral shade.

Her long, blonde bob was styled straight and she wore natural-looking makeup.

In an interview with LA Times journalist Yvonne Villarreal, the Vanderpump Rules cast member revealed that she has learned a few lessons in the wake of the affair between Sandoval, 40, and fellow cast member Rachel, formerly Raquel, Leviss, 29, who have fans called the ‘Scandal.’

“That was something that I think even initially I was like, I felt like Superwoman,” she said via People.

“I felt like I could do anything, because I thought I could never handle something like that, and then I did it, and I feel like that’s something that a lot of us, when we go through hard things, we realize us like, ‘Oh, I could do that.’

Madix revealed that the breakup made her want to prove herself.

“Once that happened and other things started getting pigeonholed as just being someone’s girlfriend, even though I have such ambition and I had a drive, at some point I felt like I had to prove to myself that I could do things could do it in my own way. own,” she explained.

“I think I proved that to myself and I think it was really important for me to do that,” she insisted.

The Dancing with the Stars contestant said she has learned to listen to her gut.

“It’s like the universe isn’t letting you learn the lesson you need to learn, and it keeps shoving that lesson in your face, and trusting my intuition is one of them.”

“I have to learn that lesson, otherwise I’ll keep having it shoved down my throat.”

The actress and singer recently ended her run as Roxie Hart in Chicago. It was her Broadway debut.

The Scandoval, combined with the musical’s theme of adultery and murder, boosted ticket sales at the box office after she joined the cast, and its run was extended beyond its original March 24 to April 7 ending.

Some VPR fans feel like she may be a little overexposed with her various pursuits, including paid partnerships.

“I felt like Superwoman,” Madix said of her post-breakup life, via People.  “I felt like I could do anything because I thought I could never do something like that, and then I did it.”

“My team would say, ‘This is a really great offer from Bic, check that out,’” she explained of her contract to promote the company’s razors.

“And I would say, ‘It’s a fantastic offer, but even if it wasn’t, I can’t say no right now because I have to make myself financially stable from now on until the kingdom comes.’ she told the LA times in March.

“I don’t think those people know what I do for a living.” she argued.

“Those are acting jobs. I’m doing the same work I’ve been doing for years; I just work more. And that’s why I signed up for Vanderpump Rules in the first place – to work more.”
