Ariana Grande looks painfully thin in plunging dress at Wicked premiere after sparking concern over weight loss

Ariana Grande looked noticeably thin during a promotional photo shoot for Wicked, following mounting concerns over her appearance at the film’s recent LA premiere.

The pop icon’s slim figure took center stage in the shoot, ahead of the highly anticipated musical’s debut at Mexico City’s Auditorio Nacional on Monday.

She wore a strapless dress with a plunging neckline, her breastbone was visible while her cleavage remained exposed.

At the event, she posed alongside co-stars Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey, who wrapped their arms around her petite frame.

The photo call follows concerns over her red carpet appearance at the Los Angeles premiere, where she showed off her physique in a 1950s-inspired gingham swing dress.

Fans also expressed concerns about her weight and appearance on social media in recent weeks.

“She’s skin and bones,” one person replied to a video of her arriving at the LA event.

“Ariana looks unhealthily skinny,” another user agreed, while a third asked, “Has Ariana always been this damn skinny?”

“I love Ariana and I don’t think people should comment on other people’s bodies at all, but you can’t possibly look at her and not think she’s not healthy,” someone else said. “I really hope she’s doing well.”

“I know she’s been slim all her life but seeing her now is worrying, she’s so small,” a fifth tweet read.

Another person posted photos of Ariana posing with Wicked costar Cynthia Erivo and sarcastically joked that they had a “skinny off,” which led to a slew of other tweets analyzing their bodies.

‘No hate, just [asking]…were they hungry during the filming process of what?’ wrote one user.

“They look hungry,” said another, while a third added: “Give these ladies a burger.”

The 31-year-old actress dazzled as she attended the Los Angeles premiere of the upcoming film adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical on Saturday in a ’50s-inspired gingham swing dress.

“Are you okay?” someone else simply asked, while another user said, “Were they on set handing out Ozempic shots?”

“These two, especially Ariana, look miserably thin,” another person claimed.

“Ariana and Cynthia look creepy thin and unhealthy… how can anyone not be concerned when they see them?” read another tweet.

But the ensemble put the singer’s extremely petite figure on full display, and some social media users then took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their concerns about her weight.

However, others were quick to stand up for the ladies, with many pointing out that Ariana has always been a naturally thin woman.

“The truth is, Ariana’s bone structure has always been like this,” one defender wrote.

“The amount of body shaming in the comments is disgusting,” said another user. ‘There’s a difference between genuine concern and blatant body shaming. Both ladies look stunning.”

‘WTF are these comments. Don’t you have anything better to do? You just have all the time in the world to be mean to these two beautiful women?’ said someone else.

‘This is the world we live in, dirty. Either way, I love them and am so happy for them.”

“Leave these women alone,” another urged, while another confessed: “Like someone who looks like this [and is] healthy, these comments hurt me a little, not gonna lie.”

In April 2023, the Thank U, Next singer clapped back at body shamers and insisted she was healthier than ever after photos comparing her weight over the years went viral.

“I just wanted to address your concerns about my body and share a little about what it means to be a person with a body [that’s] seen and paid such close attention,” she said.

“I think we need to be kinder and less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies, no matter what.

“If you think you’re saying something good or well-intentioned, whatever it is, healthy or unhealthy, big or small, this or that, sexy or not sexy, then we really need to work on not doing that so often.”

The star claimed that the version of her people compared her to was the “unhealthiest version of her body.”

‘There are many different types of beauty. There are many different ways to look healthy and beautiful,” she said.

“And for me personally, the body you’re comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body.”

She explained that she was “taking a lot of antidepressants” and “drinking them,” which is usually not recommended due to dangerous interactions.

Ariana also admitted that she was “eating poorly and at the lowest point of her life when she looked” her fans felt her healthiest.

“I know I don’t have to explain that, but I do feel like maybe there’s an openness or a vulnerability that comes from that, something good could come from that,” she added. ‘Healthy can look different.’

She also reminded her supporters that they are not actually friends with her and therefore do not know any details about her physical or mental health.

“You never know what someone is going through, so even if you’re coming from a loving or caring place, that person is probably working on it or has a support system with whom they’re working on it,” she concluded.
