ARIA Awards 2023 faces huge stir – with prestigious music event streaming live on Stan for the first time
The 2023 ARIA Awards are set to undergo a massive shake-up as the organizers announce that the prestigious music event will be streamed live on Stan for the first time.
In an effort to attract international artists, the award date has been moved forward a week to take place on November 15 at The Hordern Pavilion.
This decision comes after feedback that US superstars were unable to attend due to the clash with their Thanksgiving holiday.
The live stream on Stan will be followed by a free broadcast on Nine Network.
This exciting development aims to showcase the best of Australian talent and provide a platform for international stars to join the celebration.

Robbie Williams is tipped to attend this year’s awards just one night before he kicks off his Australian tour in Sydney, reports The Sunday Telegraph.
Other celebrities in town include Coldplay, Belinda Carlisle and Mötley Crüe.
ARIA’s wish list would include the return of the popular 2015 double act, British superstars Ed Sheeran and James Blunt, both of whom will release new records in the next two months, and US chart-toppers Olivia Rodrigo and Post Malone.

Alternative pop star Gretta Ray is up for nomination having just released her second record Positive Spin, which debuts at No. 3 on the ARIA Australian Artist chart.
She was nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2021 for her debut album Begin To Look Around which she launched during the pandemic lockdowns.
“This event holds a special place in my heart, not only as a celebration of incredible music and artists, but also as a moment to connect with fellow musicians and fans who share the same passion,” she said.

Artists and the music industry will cheer as the ceremony returns to a table service similar to the Logie Awards – after guests were forced to queue at bars at last year’s ceremony, leaving empty seats during televised -broadcast.
A celebrity host and appearances have yet to be announced.
Last year’s ceremony was hosted by singer Natalie Imbruglia and G-Flip, who was joined by girlfriend Chrisshell Stause.
The ceremony will be broadcast in full live on Stan from 5pm and then on Nine from 7.30pm.
