Argentinian star Ángel Di María will return to Juventus with a GIANT tattoo of the World Cup trophy on his thigh after his goal upheld his incredible finals goalscoring record with La Albiceleste
Argentine star Ángel Di María will return to Juventus with a giant World Cup tattoo after he scored in the final against France.
Di María continued his scoring run in the finals for Argentina after he also netted the winner against Brazil in the Copa América last year, and then scored again in his team’s 3-0 win against Italy in the UEFA Champions League in June.
The 34-year-old won Argentina’s opening-goal penalty and then scored himself when he finished off an impressive team move to double his team’s lead before halftime.
Ángel Di María scored Argentina’s first goal from a penalty and scored the second to put his team up 2-0 at half-time
The winger was forced to sit out Argentina’s victories against Australia and Croatia, while only coming on as a late substitute in their quarter-final win against the Netherlands.
But luckily, he was able to return to the bigger stage, and after playing such a pivotal role in the win, he has documented his success by getting tattooed.
Pictures have surfaced of the Argentine getting a large tattoo of the iconic World Cup trophy on his thigh.
There also appear to be three stars above the trophy, likely representing Argentina’s World Cup victories in 1978, 1986 and 2022.

The Juventus star has often been the man for the occasion, scoring the game-winner against Brazil to crown Argentina Copa América champions last year.
Having been out celebrating with the Argentina team, Di María visited his favorite tattoo artist to add it to his collection.
Earlier this week, Di María’s wife, Jorgelina Cardoso, posted WhatsApp messages sent by her husband on social media where she correctly predicted that Argentina would beat France and he would score in the World Cup final.
‘I will be world champion, my love. It’s written. And I’m going to score a goal. Because it is written like in the Maracana and Wembley’, Di María wrote on the eve of the final.
Di María, who was born in Rosario like his captain Messi, has played 129 games for his country, making his debut in 2008.
While the talented footballer has moved between clubs, notably from Real Madrid to Manchester United and PSG before Juventus, he has been a mainstay in the Argentina squad for nearly 15 years.
He moved to Juventus in the summer as a free agent after spending the last seven years at PSG, where they won 14 major trophies, including five Ligue 1 titles.
