How do I reclaim an unclaimed prize?

You may not have received news of an award because you have moved house and NS&I were not notified, or because you have changed some of your details and a letter has gone astray in the post.

But the good news is that there is no time limit on claims and NS&I will hold it until you contact them.

Once you realize you have an unclaimed award, if you are registered for telephone and online services, you can call NS&I on 08085 007 007. You cannot claim online.

If you are not registered for telephone and online services, you can write to NS&I. NS&I recommends that you provide as much information as possible, including the bondholder’s number, name or any previous names, address or any previous addresses where a bond may have been registered, and a signature.

The rewards will then be sent to your home address as a money order, which is like a check. NS&I cannot send unclaimed rewards directly to your bank account.
