Are these schools ‘The New Ivies’? Ten elite universities that won’t break the bank

The Ivy League has long been glorified as the cream of the crop when it comes to American universities.

But after a wave of scandals and rising tuition prices, a new crop of much more affordable schools is closing in on their turf.

And now that new data shows that even the most expensive education does not always lead to a high salary, families are looking elsewhere.

Forbes has now released a list of the names of the ‘new Ivies’.

The average tuition for freshmen at the 10 most affordable “new Ivies” is $20,000 less — versus $42,233 for out-of-state students. Financial aid recipients at these schools pay an average of $15,436, according to this report College Scorecard.
