But with ChatGPT, MailOnline is trying to settle the debate, with Twitter users going to great lengths to prove whether there are more doors or wheels in the world.

Not even the proudest invention of OpenAI could directly solve the question that has taken the internet by storm and puzzled Twitter since last year.

This doesn’t crush Twitter speculation, especially if not even artificial intelligence can resolve the debate.
That said, the bot was inclined to go for doors, citing the fact that “they are in virtually every building, be it residential, commercial or industrial, and often there are several doors in a single structure’.
ChatGPT provided some balance, adding, “While wheels are common in vehicles, machines and other equipment, they may not outnumber doors due to the sheer ubiquity of doors in various architectural structures.”
But OpenAI’s brainchild took care to cover itself, warning users: “Keep in mind that this is a rough estimate and the actual numbers may vary depending on how you define “doors” and “wheels”, as well as different cultural, technological and economic factors’.
A New Zealand man is responsible for fueling the debate.
Ryan Nixon created the Twitter poll asking, “Do you think there are more doors or wheels in the world?” last spring, preceded by “My buddies and I are having the STUPIDEST debate.”
The tweet has since been retweeted nearly 9,000 times — and currently has 53.6 percent of the vote for doors.
The result is not an overwhelming majority, however, and is likely to swing in the door’s favor in the future.
Many have since taken to Twitter to post their reactions, both teams are convinced they are right.
Some have even created detailed graphics and mathematical equations to prove their point, and users around the world are passionate about their beliefs.
