The image of a beloved ‘Simpsons’ character has been discovered in the sarcophagus of a 3,500-year-old Egyptian mummy.
Archaeologists discovered that the inner lid contained a drawing of a yellow-skinned woman in a long, green garment with blue hair in a rectangle, similar to Marge Simpson’s appearance.
The photo of the old coffin was recently shared on Reddit, where it caused excitement among people on Reddit asking “Marge?” and joked that “Egypt predicted Simpsons.”
Although the statues look strikingly similar to the cartoon character, experts believe it depicts the woman buried in the coffin as she traveled to the afterlife.
