Arcane season 2 adds a big bad wolf and seemingly confirms a tragic fan theory
The first season of Arcane told the origin stories of some of League of Legends' most popular champions, and introduced new characters to the lore. And our first big preview of the show's second season, which will hit Netflix in November, will show us even more of the game's best characters.
The teaser lasts about forty-five seconds and gives us a brief glimpse of the mad scientist Singed, who appears to be working on some horrible experiment. The scientist seems to be in a pleasant, drug-fueled fugue, which is at odds with the eerie piano music and the dark laboratory around him. After a few shots of Singed and his equipment, we see a giant wolf figure chained to the ceiling.
This seems to confirm that Warwick will play a role Arcane season 2. Warwick is a werewolf-like League of Legends champion who we already knew was from Zaun. Warwick is a man who has been enhanced by Singed's experiments and thrown into a bloodthirsty rage by the stimulants pumped into his bloodstream.
This clip seems to confirm a fan theory; Vander, Vi and Jinx's father figure, may not actually be dead. That's no mercy, though, as it certainly looks like he's turned into Warwick, the terrifying beast currently under Singed's spell. It is a disturbing sight to see Warwick hanging from the ceiling. Players know Warwick as a predator, but in this preview he finds himself in a much more vulnerable and pathetic place. A Arcane character will also jump to over League of Legends sometime in 2024, when Ambessa, Mel's mother, will appear on the Rift.
