Apple’s new iOS 17 update could include a mood-tracking app and customizable lock screen

The event all iPhone users expect is less than two months away, but features of the upcoming iOS 17 are flooding the web.
Apple’s new operating system will include several features that experts believe will change the way we use an iPhone.
The rumors include a mood tracking app, live quality improvements and software that will make phones compatible with Apple’s new virtual reality headset.
The unveiling is scheduled for June 5 at the tech giant’s annual World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC), which is also expected to introduce its highly anticipated AR/VR headset.
Below are the four main features that are expected to be introduced in June:
Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference scheduled for June is likely to see the release of the new iOS 17 that will be packed with great features
Apple’s WWDC is an event where the company shares new operating systems for its iPhone, Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple TV.
Leaks of what to expect usually appeared online months before the revelations, and those about iOS tend to be popular.
mood tracker
Apple is taking a huge step into the health space with iOS 17, which will include a feature that allows users to track their emotions, answer questions about how their day went, and view results to see patterns.
Experts believe that this feature will live in the Health app.
The mood tracker also integrates with social media apps, allowing the tracker to analyze messages to determine how a user is feeling.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman believes Apple could develop specific mood-tracking algorithms that would capture speech to determine the user’s speech and analyze text messages for key signals.
Journaling app
Journaling has become popular in recent years because it allows people to record everyday thoughts, feelings and aspirations – and Apple wants you to be able to carry it in the palm of your hand.
The Wall Street Journal reported last week about the new app – codenamed “Jurassic” – that allows users to track their daily lives.
And it could provide users with inspiration by helping them with ideas of what to write about based on their daily activities.
Rumors include Mood tracker, Journaling app, live quality improvements and AR/VR headset integration
However, industry experts emphasized that the journaling app and the mood tracker are two separate features.
The software analyzes user behavior to determine a typical day, including how much time was spent at home compared to elsewhere and whether a particular day was unusual.
Lock screen customization
The new iOS 17 is believed to let users create erratic lock screens, 9to5Mac reports.
Experts suggest that users can design screens with different fonts, colors and emojis and layouts.
And switching between lock screens works like the process of an Apple Watch.
Siri
Gurman has speculated that users might get what they asked for: an easier command to invoke Siri.
You have to say “Hey Siri”, but with iOS 17 you can say “Siri”.
Gurman said Apple is using “a significant amount of AI training and underlying engineering work” to make this happen.
And the tech giant could start adding the virtual assistant to third-party services.
Siri can also be relegated to Dynamic Island at the top of the screens.
Dynamic Island is an interactive part of the screen, providing quick access to alerts, notifications and background activities without interrupting your app.
However, there are also rumors that the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X will not be compatible with iOS 17.
It was also revealed this week that Apple is developing an AI-powered health coaching service that will encourage users to exercise, eat healthy, and sleep better.
The feature combines the software with a user’s Apple Watch data to make suggestions and design unique coaching programs.
