Two new features just announced at WWDC are already generating rave reviews online.

The first, automatically scheduling text messages through Apple’s Messages app, takes a feature that has made emailing easier for remote work and teamwork and reimplements it to simplify personal life interactions as well. Apple’s example was automating a birthday text, but there are guaranteed to be many ways this can help the average person.

The second, more comprehensive innovation allows users to send messages via satellite when they are beyond the range of traditional cell phones or wireless Internet networks. The added connectivity will likely literally save lives during natural disasters or accidents that occur in remote areas with low connectivity.

In addition to the expected unveiling of the headset’s new operating system, Apple has announced that the breathtakingly high-tech and expensive VR headset will be rolled out across the world this summer.

On June 28, the Vision Pro will reach Asia and go on sale in China, Japan and Singapore.

The glasses will then come to the rest of the West on July 12, becoming available in the UK, Australia, Canada, France and Germany.
