Apple updated iCloud.com to look shiny and new. Here are all the new features you can use right now

Apple has unveiled an updated version iCloud.com. The update introduces a modest set of new features, as well as aesthetic updates to improve the user experience.

Users can now customize the background of their homepage using a selection of colors, and the site now takes into account users’ existing dark mode settings.

Navigation within iCloud Photos has been streamlined for a more efficient browsing experience. The homepage now includes tile options that display photo albums more prominently. A calendar icon has been added that allows users to quickly jump to specific months or years and adjust the time, date, and location of their photos right from the inspector.

Apple also upgraded iCloud Notes. Now users can – with a right-click or Control-click – pin important notes to the top of their list for easy access.

The design of iCloud Calendar has been improved to improve usability, and support for the Hijri calendar has been added. And iCloud Drive now has a Shared View tab, making it easy for users to see files shared with them.

These improvements won’t blow anyone away, but they will certainly make life just a little bit easier for the site’s users – and to be honest, some of the changes are long overdue. I mean, how can a platform not have a dark mode in 2024?
