Apple is trying to make the lives of developers a whole lot easier

Apple has announced a new developer support package that it hopes will help them use the company’s latest technologies, such as the iPhone 14 Pro’s Dynamic Island.
Less than a month after the launch of the latest iPhone 14 lineup, VP of Worldwide Developer Relations, Susan Prescott, said the company has “increased needs for in-person support and conversations.”
called ‘Ask Apple (opens in new tab)’, the new service includes interactive Q&As and one-on-one consultations during business hours, and joins a number of other programs such as Tech Talks and Meet with App Store Experts.

Apple says that app developers from the Developer Program and Developer Enterprise Program can ask questions about things like “testing for the latest seeds; implement new and updated Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) frameworks; adopting new features such as the Dynamic Island; move to Swift, SwiftUI and accessibility; and preparing their apps for new OS and hardware releases.”
Depending on the level of support developers need, they can connect with Apple experts on Slack to ask questions and share their lessons, or take advantage of face-to-face consultations to get “code-level help, design guidance, input on implementing technologies and frameworks, troubleshooting advice, or assistance with App Review guidelines and distribution tools.”

The company says Ask Apple will be an ongoing series. The first round of opportunities is set for the week of October 17, 2022, with no word on future dates. More importantly, Ask Apple is designed to be free within a developer account environment.
