Apple is expanding Business Connect tools to help businesses stay connected with customers

Apple has announced a series of enhancements to its Business Connect platform in the hope that businesses around the world, including those without a physical location, can create and enhance their brand presence and engage more than a billion Apple users worldwide.

A relatively new tool, Business Connect launched in early 2023 as a way for businesses to manage their presence on Apple Maps by customizing location maps, adding photos and logos, and offering promotions like reservations.

Now Business Connect has expanded to more areas, allowing business owners to leverage their powerful hardware to keep capital expenses low.

Apple Business Connect is getting a handy upgrade

The new tools include the ability for businesses to display their logo when accepting payments via Tap to Pay on iPhone, eliminating the need to purchase potentially expensive payment terminals and POS devices.

Apple has also added a new Branded Mail feature that allows companies to display their logo in customer emails, hoping the more cohesive and professional feel will convince customers that the message is authentic.

Also planned for next year is Business Caller ID, which will allow verified businesses to display their name and logo on the incoming call screen, helping customers identify genuine calls from businesses.

David Dorn, Apple’s Senior Director of Internet Software and Services Product, said: “We designed Business Connect to help businesses present the best and most accurate information to Apple users. With today’s updates, we’re helping even more companies reach customers, build trust and grow.”

Physical, online-only and virtual businesses can register for Business Connect for free through an Apple Account and manage their online presence from any device.

The Cupertino giant has also updated its Business Connect user guide to reflect the changes, offering guidance to those looking to get started.
