Apple Exceeds PLI Scheme Target, Delivers 85% of iPhones by Production Value

Apple Inc. has achieved a milestone by exporting 85 percent of the cargo production value, or Rs 40,145 crore, of its iPhones in April-July FY25.

‘Cargo on board’ refers to the stage at which the ownership and risks of the carriage of goods pass from the seller to the buyer.

With this, Apple has for the first time surpassed the target it had given to the government of exporting 81 percent of its iPhones in terms of value by the end of the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme in FY26.

The company exported phones worth Rs 34,089 crore in the last four months.
