Apple could launch a bigger iPad Air before its OLED iPad Pros next year
There have been a lot of rumors in recent weeks about what Apple is planning in terms of new iPads in 2024, and now there’s another leak to add to the list: the introduction of a new 12.9-inch size for the iPad Air 6.
This is from analyst Ming Chi Kuo, one of the more reliable Apple tipsters out there. According to Kuo, a 10.9-inch and a 12.9-inch iPad Air are scheduled for mass production in the first quarter of 2024.

According to Kuo, that display technology will be adapted to the 12.9-inch model. While there won’t be a mini-LED added, the larger tablet will have an oxide backplane – that’s the same as on the 12.9-inch mini-LED iPad Pro, and essentially means less power consumption (so better battery life ) and superior performance. performance.

While Kuo doesn’t provide any details about the chipset in the new iPad Airs (the current one runs the Apple M1), he does say that the iPad Pros will also be refreshed in 2024 and come with the latest Apple M3 chipsets. them.

Kuo says production on these slates will begin late in Q1 or Q2 2024, and they will be followed by the iPad mini 7, which is expected to arrive in the second half of the year (later than original thought).
